About Us
Dan
Shackleford developed and continues to maintain
a keen interest in service to his fellowman in the area
of funeral service. Involvement
with those interested in the subject is of utmost concern
to him. He has
availed himself to every opportunity to listen and learn
from funeral service and community resources. The challenge
of each day is to help someone accept what has or will be
happening to them. Acceptance
through ritual and personal understanding has led him into
developing discussions for traditional and alternative thinking
with those around him whether they seek his services at
the time of actual need or not. He has
often been heard to remember the quote of William Gladstone,“Show me the manner in which a nation or community
cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical
exactness the tender sympathies of the people, their respect
for the laws of the land and their loyalty to high ideals.”
