WILSON - Alton D. Dickerson, 84, died Saturday, March 21, 2015.
Funeral, Tuesday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and retired from the NC Department of Transportation.
Surviving is his wife, Fannie Lee Thorne Dickerson; daughters, Gail Jones (Keith) and Cheryl Amerson, both of Wilson; Ellen Weismer (John) of New Bern and Laura Small (Brice) of Waxhaw; grandchildren, Shannon Massengill, Melissa Weismer, Stephanie Weismer, Christi Tedder, Tyler Amerson, Bradley and Lauren Small; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ann D. Newcombe of Wilson.
