Barbara Edwards

Barbara Boswell Edwards, 86, of Wilson, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 after a short-term illness at UNC Rex in Raleigh, NC.

Mrs. Edwards was retired from the Wilson County Communications Center and was an avid gardener who loved to work in her yard with her flowers in her spare time.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Karen Taylor (Kirk) of Sims, Allen Edwards (Sherry) of Wallace, Michelle Edwards of Farmville, Dawn Beaman (Carl) of Cedar Point, and Dean Edwards of Wilson. Grandchildren Alisha Turner (Quint), Neil Banks (Jennifer), Brandon Edwards, Michael Edwards (Christy), Christopher Edwards, and Adam Nixon. Great Grandchildren Michael Edwards Jr., Davis Turner, Karsyn Nixon, Hayden Turner, Aaliyah Edwards, Owen Banks, Knolan Nixon, and Lilly Banks. Sister Patricia Wall of Charlotte, and brother Keith (Dink) Reddick of Wilson. Also, her special fur baby Miss Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her parents David Floyd Boswell, Daisy Owens Reddick, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Services on Saturday, May 10, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitors are welcome following the service at the home of Karen Taylor, 5075 NC Hwy. 581, Sims NC.
