Bill Propst

William David “Bill” Propst, 83, of Elm City, died Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

Bill was retired from the trucking industry and was a Navy Veteran.  He was a man of few words but loved his family and his dogs.  He enjoyed spending his weekends outside doing yard work.

He is survived by his daughter Kim Propst of Elm City; brothers, Joe Propst (Judy) of Raeford and Randy Propst (Rose) of South Greenfield, MO.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Corbett Propst in October 2024; parents, David and Ethel Williams Propst; sister, Annie McQuage; brother, Earl Propst.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Maggie Society, 606 Trinity Dr W, Wilson, NC 27893.
