WILSON - Billy Elbert "James" Evans, 74, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Wilson Medical Center. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Sudie Evans, a son, Billy James, Jr., an infant son, and brothers, Eunice Lee and Otha Evans. Funeral, Sunday, 2:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Marsh Swamp Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alma Davis Evans: daughter, Joyce Keen (Todd) of Wilson: son, Billy R. Evans (Alice) of Bailey: granddaughter, Ginger L. Ward and fiancée Alan Williamson of Wilson: grandson, Michael Evans (Michele) of Wilson: great-grandchildren, Haleigh and C.J. Ward and Hanah Evans of Wilson: step-great grandson, Danny Williamson, Jr. of Wilson: brother, Thomas Evans (Inez) of Wilson. The family will be at the funeral home Saturday 7-8:30 and other times at 1908 Glendale Drive.
