ELM CITY – Addie Bailey “Blackie” Tant, 93, died peacefully at home Sunday, October 10, 2021.
Funeral, Tuesday, 2:00 PM, Cedar Grove Cemetery, conducted by Rev. James R. Pearce.
She had served the community as a hairdresser for over 50 years and was a member of Elm City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, William J. Tant, Jr. and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Surviving is her daughter, Sandra Bogue (Mike) of Wilson; grandson, Lynn Massengill of the home; great-granddaughter, Kelcey Massengill of Wilson.
