Bobby Langston

Bobby Ray Langston, age 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in his home in Wilson, NC after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Bobby was born in Wayne County, NC on November 19, 1935.  He started working in the antique business when he was 18 years old.  He opened his own antique and auction business, Bobby Langston Antiques, Inc. (Langston Auction Gallery), in 1977.  Antiques, hard work, and dedication to his business were his passion.  His pride in his business is still being upheld by his daughter, Tracy Hackney, and dedicated employees. 

In his earlier years, Bobby enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Malissa Langston; his sisters, Elsie Crawford and Sybil Waddell; and his brother, George T. Langston.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley Langston; his daughters, Kim Langston Bates (Derek); Debby Langston Stidham (Bill), both of Winnsboro, SC; and Tracy Hackney (Mike) of Rocky Mount, NC; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two special sisters-in-law, Donna Mullins and Lynda Green; and many special family friends.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service.
