WILSON - Harold Dean "Buddy" Baker, 75, died Sunday, April 11, 2010. Buddy graduated from Charles L. Coon in 1953 and attended ECU. He served in the Army was a farmer and mail carrier. He was a loving husband, daddy, papa and brother. Buddy was an avid golfer and he never met a stranger. Funeral, Wednesday, 2 PM, Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St N, Wilson. Surviving is his wife, Shirley Skinner Baker; daughter, Dawn Peter (Rudy) of Clayton; son, Dean Baker (Melissa) of Kinston; grandchildren, Logan and Landon Baker and Haley and Bryson Peter; sister, Ann Baker of Wilson; brother, Larry Baker (Susie) of Wilson; brother-in-law, Howard Ben McIntosh of Wilson. The family will be at home, 4513 Frank Price Church Rd, Wilson, Tuesday, 3 - 7 PM. Memorials are suggested to General Purpose Fund/CCU, Durham VA Medical Center, 508 Fulton St, Durham NC 27705.
