WILSON - Carlton "Duke" Dixon, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
Funeral, Friday, 7:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation.
Duke was a retired farmer and businessman. He loved humor, friends, family, hunting, fishing and he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Troutman Dixon; son, David Dixon and wife, Cathy, of Wilson; daughter-in-law, Becky Dixon of Monroe; granddaughters, Angie Dixon of Wilson, Ashley Burgess and husband, Brandon, of Marshville and Meredith Minor and husband, Brian, of Monroe; five great-grandchildren and sister, Jean Langley of Wilson.
Duke was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Dixon; parents, H.T. and Victoria Page Dixon; sisters, Inez and Lucille Dixon and brothers, Edward "Knot", William Henry "Trot", J.D., James "Scoot" and Thomas Dixon.
