Charles Carroll Batten, 87, a long-time member of Peace Church, died Sunday, September 11, 2016.
Funeral, Thursday, 7:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Friday, 10:00 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 66 years, Laverle Lamm Batten; son, Glenn Batten (Char) of Winterville; daughter, Judy B. Forester (Bob) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Chad Batten (Kelly) of Greensboro, Jody Parkin (Tim) of Winterville, Amy Jones (Clay) of Ashland, KY, Terra Forester of Raleigh, Carol Leigh Petit (Chad) of Angier; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Colin Batten (Judy) of Saratoga, Jack Batten (Joan) of Roanoke, VA; Jimmy Batten of Selma, Reuben Batten (Tina) of TN; sister, Peggy B. Lamm of Lucama; special sisters-in law and brother-in-law, Erline Batten, Mildred Lamm and Karen Batten, all of Wilson, Cubby and Aurora Lamm of Bluffton, SC.
