Fremont - Chester Mooring, 85, died Saturday, March 31, 2012.
Funeral, Tuesday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
Mr. Mooring retired from a bread sales delivery route and had been active in the Fremont Fire Department serving as Chief for several years.
He was preceded in his wife, Majorie Whitley Mooring in 2008; a great-grandson, Trevor Langlois; parents, Marcellus "Tobe" and Bertie Blow Mooring; sister, Neta Mae Elmore; brother, Leroy Mooring.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan Sasser (Pete) of Fremont; sons, Bryan Mooring (Lynn) of Wilson and Allen Mooring (Nancy) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Woody Sasser, Stephanie Langlois, Christopher Mooring, Lindsay Mooring and Brad Mooring; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Huntly Langlois; sisters, Eleanor Ballance, Frances West and Evelyn Hooks, all of Fremont.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial, Monday, 6:30 - 8 PM.
