WILSON - Claude B. Whitley, Jr., 90, died Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Funeral, Monday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting.
Mr. Whitley was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired from mail processing in the former Reuben Donnelly Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Edmundson Whitley; parents, Claude B. and Mamie Barnes Whitley; sisters, Frances Bass, Bessie Stancil and Mary Lee Edwards.
Surviving are his daughters, Marsha Whitley and Jane Walston of Wilson; grandchildren, Jana Winders (Rick) and John Walston of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Madison and Benjamin Winders; brother, Ernest Whitley (Selma) of Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
