Connie Jones

Connie Whitley Jones, 72, of Walstonburg, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson on Thursday at 2:00 PM. The family will greet those in attendance following the service.

Connie loved her husband and family with all her heart. She was an avid animal advocate, especially K-9s. Connie made the best lemon pie and old-fashioned chocolate cake ever.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Jones; son, Doug Webb (Teri) of Elm City; sister, Carol Webb (Rick) of Bailey; brother, Mike Whitley (Heather) of Bailey; grandchildren, Matthew Bass (Nikki), Josh Webb (Whitney), and Salvador Guzman (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Nolan Bass, Beau Bass, and Joshua Wayne Webb, Jr.; and her beloved fur baby, Dakota.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Lee Whitley and Agnes Brewer Whitley.
