FREMONT - Daphne Davis Davis, 87, died Sunday, January 7, 2007, in her home. Davis was the widow of George W. Davis and a daughter of the late Weaver B. and Pearl Edwards Davis. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fremont Missionary Baptist Church. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. Surviving is a daughter, Verne D. Futrell, of Garner: sons, Brian Davis of Wilson and Greg Davis of Clayton: granddaughters, Jeni Davis of Wilson and Leigh Anne F. Creech (Shay) of Raleigh: sister, Jewitt Thompson (Ed) of Cary: brother, Landis Davis (Janet) of Faro. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr., Wilson, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Fremont Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 906, Fremont NC 27830. of Raleigh; sister, Jewitt Thompson
