Dennis Jordan

Dennis Ray Jordan, 65, of Elm City, died Saturday July 11, 2020.

A service will be held for and at the convenience of the family.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Jordan Boyd (Bill) of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Haley and Grace Boyd; brother, Edwin Jordan (Lucina) of Elm City; nieces Kristie Jordan Adams of Elm City and Kim Jordan Griffitt of Vanclave, Mississippi; great-nieces, Brittney Batts, Elyse Menta, Lizzie Menta, and Allyson Griffitt; numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Edwin Jordan in 2010 and Frances Winstead Jordan in 2012.

Dennis was born and raised in Elm City. He moved to Wilson and later to Wilmington where he attended Cape Fear Community College studying computer engineering. He worked as a computer technician for many years before returning home to Elm City. In recent years he spent much of his time volunteering with the local Boy Scouts.
