FREMONT - Donald Edmundson, 77, died Monday, September 19, 2016, in his home.
The Funeral will be held Sunday, September 25, 2:00 PM, Elmwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will leave the cemetery immediately following the benediction for a time of visiting and sharing at the Fremont United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
Donald was born February 24, 1939 to John R. and Dixie Barnes Edmundson. He was a 32nd degree Mason in Home Lodge #613 where he served as Master in 1984, 1990, and 1999. A past member of the Goldsboro Shrine Club, he served several years on a Scottish Rite degree team. He served several years on the Board of Heritage Bank in Fremont. A retired farmer, he maintained his love for all things about farming.
Surviving is his wife, Phyllis Yelverton Edmundson; sons, Don Edmundson and wife, Linda, and Chuck Edmundson and wife, Lisa, all of Fremont; daughter, Tracey E. Ivey and husband, Mitch, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Travis Edmundson, Amanda Edmundson, Ben Ivey, John Edmundson, Cade Ivey, Ella Edmundson, Matthew Ivey, Nan Edmundson and Leah Edmundson; brother, Rudy Edmundson and wife, Karen, of Fremont and a sister, Nanelle E. Congleton of Ayden.
