Donna Byron

Donna H. Byron, 62, of Elm City, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Visitation, Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wilson Memorial Service.

She was born in Durham County on November 27, 1956 to E.L. Joyner and Shelby Harris.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly J. Byron-Barnes and son-in law, Jeffrey W. Barnes of Elm City, along with two fur babies, Mimi and Bella; her former husband, Kenneth G. Byron of New Bern; brothers, Richard E. Byrd and Norman F. Byrd; aunt, Maggie Thompson and uncle, Lee Harris; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stella Harris; grandfather, Claude Harris; aunts, Barbara Harrell and Shirley Johnson.

Mrs. Donna was an elementary computer lab school teacher/teacher assistant for 22 years for Wilson County Public Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
