Donnie Proctor

Donnie Franklin Proctor, 83, of Wilson, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

A graveside service will be on Friday, July 10th, 11:00 AM, at Marsh Swamp Church Cemetery followed by visitation in the fellowship hall.

Donnie was born March 16, 1943. He grew up in the Rock Ridge Community and graduated from Rock Ridge High School in 1961. Donnie served his country in the Marine Reserves. He worked for many years as a bookkeeper. He was a long time active member of the Wilson Singles Club. Donnie loved to dance and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his brother Dwight Proctor (Becky) of Wilson; sister-in-law Sylvia Proctor of Clayton; nieces and nephew, Sharon Stalls of Smithfield, Gayle Proctor (Lynwood Lamm) of Emerald Isle, Rick Proctor (Melanie) of Clayton, and Amanda Calaway (Curtis) of Clayton; great-niece and nephews, Megan Jernigan (Chase), Jamey Proctor, and Connor Calaway.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents Sol and Rosa Proctor and brothers, Joe Proctor and Richard Proctor.
