Doris Godwin

Doris Holland Godwin, 94, of Lucama, died Monday, September 5, 2022.

Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery.  The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, 6:00-7:30 PM.

Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by her husband, J. Roy Godwin; parents, Albert and Cassie Sullivan Holland; great-granddaughter, Lila Grace Watson; sisters, Betty Faye Raper and Annie Lee Barnes; brothers, Orez, Willard, Wallace, Rupert and Willis Holland.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Peele (Richard) of Wilson and Kathy Watson (Ronnie) of Lucama; sons, Don Godwin (Ann) of Lucama and Jerry Godwin (Dianne) of Wilson; grandchildren, Donna Johnson (Jeff) John Godwin (Rhonda), Dana Ash (Cam), Travis Watson, Lauren Hayes (Matt), Jeremy Godwin (Elizabeth) and Matthew Watson (Jessie); ten great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Holland (Judy) of Wilson; sister-in-law, Frances Holland of Lucama and several special nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Little Rock OFWB Church, PO  340, Lucama, NC 27851.
