STANTONSBURG - Dottie Edmundson Flanner, 79, of the Lindell Community, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Funeral, Saturday, 1:00 PM, Lebanon United Methodist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Stantonsburg Cemetery.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lillie Brown Edmundson; husband, Jack Strange and brother, James Edmundson. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and had worked with United Way and American Red Cross.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Flanner; daughters, Pamela Tenney (Jerry) of Smithfield, VA., Teresa Chesson (Chuck) of Stantonsburg and Jackie Strother (John) of Wake Forest; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Anderson of Stantonsburg; step-daughter, Laura Flanner of Raleigh; step-son, Will Flanner of Wilmington and one step-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested Lebanon UMC, 7224 Lindell Rd, Stantonsburg, NC 27883-8579
