Dr. James Etheridge

Dr. James E. Etheridge, 85, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at home. He was born August 30, 1920 in Kenly, NC to the late Paul H. Etheridge and Eva Crawford Etheridge. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul H. Etheridge and W. Hamp Etheridge. Dr. Etheridge was graduate of Wake Forest University and Loyola University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Lousiana. He served as a First Lieutenant in the Army as a dentist and was in the European African Eastern Theatre during World War II. Dr. Etheridge was lifelong member of the North Carolina Dental Association and a lifelong Methodist and participated in various clubs and organizations. The funeral will be on Wednesday for and at the convenience of the family. Dr. Etheridge is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Minnie Dees Etheridge: sons and their spouses, J. Edward Etheridge and Genny Hale Etheridge of Wilson, and William (Bill) I. Etheridge and Catherine Cowdery Etheridge of Raleigh and eight grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home, today, 7:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at 915 Cardinal Drive.
