Elton Lee Proctor, 83, of Wilson, died Sunday, February 2, 2025, in his home.

Funeral, Wednesday, 6:30 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Burial, Thursday, 11:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery. Section C. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 ½ years, Lou Ann Evans Proctor; daughters, Carolyn P. Johnson of Wilson and Cathy P. Braswell (Glenn) of Wilson; grandchildren, Chase Joyner (Brittany), Garrett Joyner, and Brad Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sarah Joyner, Gracie Skinner, and Maddie Johnson; brother, Bobby Proctor of Wilson.

Preceded in death was his parents, Alvin & Florence Hawley Proctor; sisters, Josephine Jones, Earlene Ferrell, and Lynda Crumpler; brothers, Rudolph, Reece, Gene, and Lennis Proctor.
