Frances Marshall “Fran” Whitley, 76, of Saratoga, died Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Funeral, Sunday, 2:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Burial, Stantonsburg Cemetery.

Fran was dedicated to her family and had worked in the past in Flo’s Restaurant, Wilson.

Surviving is her husband, John F. Whitley; daughters, Michelle Whitley of Stantonsburg and Bonnie Armistead of Lithia, FL; son, John “Crow” Whitley, Jr. (Amanda) of Walstonburg and Patrick “Charlie Brown” Whitley of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Paula, Brook, John III “Bubba”, Justin, Lexxie, James Ray, Drew, Cassie, Sierra, and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Addison, Everleigh, J.J., Lainey, Maryla, Tucker, Bryson, Eli, Salem, Axel, Ace, and Archer; her sisters, Jo Ann Stanford of Cortland, NY, and Paula Marshall-Reise (George) of Roswell, NM; brother, Jim Marshall, Jr (Carol) of Conway, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Irvin and Virginia Dawn Palmer Marshall of Cortland County, NY; daughter, Melissa Dawn Whitley; brothers, Tim Marshall and Ron Marshall.
