ROCKY MOUNT - George L. Hooks, Jr, 103, died Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Funeral, Wednesday, 2:00 PM, First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount. Interment, Pineview Cemetery.
He is survived by his granddaughter, April H. Allman of Indiana; grandson, Blake D. Hooks of Shelby; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hooks had retired from Southern Cotton Oil Company and had enjoyed his years of membership and service in his church and the Rocky Mount Rotary Club. He enjoyed his farming experiences in the Fremont area.
