Glenn Evans

Robert Glenn Evans, Sr., 89, of Wilson, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, 11:00 AM, at Connect Church followed by visitation. Interment with Military Honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Mr. Evans was retired from the U. S. Army with 21 years of service. He served in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany, Japan, Africa, Panama, Massachusetts, Florida, Virginia, and Maryland. He also had worked with the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Ferrell Evans; son, Robert G. Evans, Jr. (Odessa) of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Hannah Evans and Jack Evans; sister, Judy Turner (Ken) of Wilson; brother, Don Evans (Jennie) of Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Evans and his parents, Robert Dee Evans and Zola Mae Braswell Evans.
