WILSON - Herman C. Wood, 78, died Monday, June 2, 2008. He served during the Korean Conflict in the Marines and went on to retire as a Senior District Executive of the Boy Scouts of America. Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, First United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Ruth Atkinson Greene Wood: daughter, Ruth Anne G. Hering (Ed) of Virginia Beach, VA: son, Lester "Max" Greene (Debbie) of Raleigh: grandchildren, Laura, Mark and Emma Hering. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1423, Wilson, NC 27894, or to the Northwest Georgia Council, BSA, 100 E. Second Ave, Rome, GA 30161. of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Lester "Max" Greene
