Horace Issette

Horace Ray Issette, 77, of Wilson died Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Funeral, Thursday, 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Horace was an upholsterer, including boat cushions, had worked at Barcalounger, and retired from Superior Cable (now Draka). He served in the Army and was a volunteer at Silver Lake Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife Lucendia Turner Issette; daughter, Wanda Bass McCroskey (Mike) of Wilson; sons, Eddie Bass of the home and Jeffrey Issette (Maria) of Bailey; grandchildren, Devon McCroskey, Savannah McCroskey, Chloe McCroskey, Abbott Bass, Haley Issette Matthews, Hunter Issette and Shane Issette; great-grandchildren, Ian Anderson, Sophia Bass and Adeline Matthews; sisters, Judy Weatherington of Wilson, Kimberly Smith (Rex) of Bailey and Wendy Summerlin (Jerry) of Elm City; brother, Johnny Issette (LeAnne) of Bailey; nieces, Wendy Weatherington, Leslie Weatherington, Audrey Bullock and Jennifer McMurray.
