WILSON - Irene Barnette Kearney Franklin, 90, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in Richmond, VA. She was born in the Stantonsburg community to Capaias and Martha Barnette and was also preceded in death by husband, Charlie Kearney; son, Donnie Kearney; sister, Madeline Reeves; brothers, Jesse & Jasper "Bunk" Barnette. Funeral, Saturday, 6 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Committal, Sunday, 10 AM, Stantonsburg Cemetery. Surviving is her husband, Henry C. Franklin; daughter, Jan Brown
