NEWPORT - James R. Windham, 82, formerly of Wilson, died Monday, March 2, 2009. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from the former Shackelford Paving Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Molene Howell Windham: brother, Albert C. Windham, Jr.: sisters, Marjorie Bass and Mary Cox. Funeral, Thursday, 7:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, followed by visitation. Interment, Friday, 11:00 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Gail Bottoms, and husband, Mat, of Beaufort: granddaughter, Hayden Bottoms of Beaufort and grandson, Tyler Bottoms of Greenville: sister, Barbara Turnage of Wilson: brothers, William Windham and Hubert Windham both of Wilson.
