Jane Davis

October 1, 1936 — September 29, 2017

WILSON- Jane Pipkin Davis, 80, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 29, 2017.

Funeral, Monday, 7:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.

Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She expressed her love of the Lord and fellowship through her membership at Black Creek United Methodist Church. Jane’s work as a sales associate contributed to her love of clothes and always wanting her look to be put together just so, matching everything from her top to her socks. She was employed with Belk at the time of her retirement.

Aside from having an extensive love for plants with a green thumb that could grow just about anything, Jane Davis was always willing and able to boast about her family, who knew her as Mena. Her grandson’s Coast Guard career and great grandchildren highlighted her world.

Surviving is her daughter, Kim Taylor Aycock (Garret) of Buckhorn; step-son, Kenneth Davis (Faye) of Stantonsburg; grandson, Brandon Aycock (Holly) of Elizabeth City; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Lane Aycock; brothers, Alvis “Tom” Pipkin (Mary) of Wilson, and Johnny Pipkin (Shirley) of Lucama; step-daughter-in-law, Janice Hendricks Davis of Stantonsburg; and her dog, “GiGi”, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Adam and Alberta Matthews Pipkin of Wilson County; son, Karl Taylor; step-son, Irvin Davis; brother, Raymond Pipkin and sister, Chris Smith.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Black Creek United Methodist Church, PO Box 278, Black Creek, NC 27813-0278.
