Jane Wood

Jane Adkins Wood, 92, of Wilson, passed away peacefully at her home on July 7, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Callbie Franklin Wood Jr.; her daughter, Allison Jane Wood; and her siblings, John Adkins, Robert Adkins, and Nancy Adkins Lewis.

She is survived by her son, Fred Wood, and his wife, Carol; her daughter, Connie Wood Young, and her husband, Greg; three grandchildren, Stuart Wood and his wife, Ronnie, Austin Young and his wife, Allison, and Alli Young; two great-grandchildren, Finley and Annie Wood; her brother, Charles Allen Adkins; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Adkins.

The family will receive friends at the family home on Old Bailey Highway in Wilson. A funeral service for the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 3184, Wilson, NC 27895.
