Jay Mumford

James M. “Jay” Mumford III, 61, of Wilson, died Monday, January 21, 2019.
Funeral, Monday, 12:00 PM, Maplewood Cemetery.
Jay was a free-lance sports writer and had worked for Dominos for over 30 years. He was an avid N.C. State and Green Bay Packers fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. “Speed” Mumford, Jr. and Christine Mobley Mumford and a sister, Debbie Mumford and a brother, Ben Mumford.
A special thank you is extended to the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, for their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27896.
