Jayne Turner

It is with great sorrow that we share the loss of Jayne Currin Turner, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Jayne was born on November 21, 1937 in Coffee County, Georgia to R.E. and Mayo Currin. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Home Economics. It was there that she fell in love with William J. Turner. They married on August 31, 1958, and remained inseparable for 68 years.

Jayne lived her life with boundless generosity and a great compassion for others. She and Bill made a joyful home for their family, filled with beauty, love, and laughter. A deeply devoted Christian, her life was a living reflection of her beliefs. She showed her faith quietly and consistently by offering comfort through compassionate visits, sharing flowers from her garden, and sending heartfelt notes.

Jayne found immense joy in her garden; she was an accomplished Master Gardner and loved spending long hours working outside with her husband, Bill. She shared her talent with others by creating beautiful floral arrangements for home, church, and friends. Her passion for flowers and nature is a gift she passed down to her daughters and granddaughters.

Jayne enjoyed painting, creating many pieces for her children and grandchildren. That same artistic gift was reflected in her home, which she designed to be a welcoming and beautiful place for her family and friends to gather. She loved to host her loved ones, setting the most beautiful table with delicious food and exquisite floral arrangements.

Above all, she was an incredibly loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, beauty, and love.

Jayne is survived by her husband William Turner, her daughters Lynn Lee (John), Leigh Harrell (Joseph), and Lesa Flick (Paul); her granddaughters Lydia Harrell (Ryan) and daughter Celine, Madeline Harrell, Currin King (Adam) and son Judson, Belle Paylor, and Luisa Lee, and faithful friend Marla Whitley.

The family would like to thank her devoted caregivers, Lisa Mooring and Tammy Barnes.
