Jean Mercer Owens, 82, of Wilson, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
A service will be held at a later date.
Jean was a retired nurse at the Wilson Clinic having worked for many years with Dr. Robert Pope.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Owens; daughter, Debbie Bass Whitley; mother, Reba Mercer Fox; aunt Becie Barnes; and son-in-law, David Bonsall.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Sharon B. Bonsall of Wilson; grandchildren, Joseph Curtis Vick of Wilson, James Vick (Casandra) of Elm City and Emily Bonsall of Wilson; great-granddaughters, Alexis and Briana Vick; sister, Mary Brantley of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
