Jerry Harold Evans, Sr., 72, of Lucama, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Funeral, Saturday, 11:00 AM, at Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation.

Jerry was retired from Voith Fabrics and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Powell Evans; children & step-children, Jerry Evans, Jr. and Phillip Evans of Sims, Leslie Elliott (Vince) of Bath, Becky Wilson (Neil) of Lucama, Randall Hughes of Youngsville, Bonnie Young and Jeannette Vines of Pinetops; many grandchildren, Cameron Evans, Sasha Equils (Matt), Blake Elliott (Alysha), Seth Elliott (Madison), Shawn Perry, Pamela Dixon (Domonique), Melissa Zelinack (Jason), William Matey (Katie), Jonathan Capps (Kate), Amanda Weber (Brad), Brittany Leonard (Jay), and Jonathan Pridgen; and 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Evans (Delores) of Wilson; sisters, Betty Cates of Wilson and Carolyn Whitley (James) of Black Creek.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Ruth Bunn Evans; son, Steven Evans; brothers, H.B. Evans, Bobby Evans, and Marshall Evans; and brother-in-law Linwood (Tadpole) Cates.
