WILSON - James (Jim) Milliard Roberts, Jr. passed away July 12, 2018 from complications of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. His amazing strength to beat this deadly disease was unwavering. He was a long time resident of Wilson.

He worked for Waste Industries for 27 years and at the time of his death, he was Territory Manager, Cummins Sales and Service, formerly Cummins Atlantic, Kenly, since 2006.

Jim was an avid cyclist, voracious reader, incredibly funny and a man of great faith.  He attended and taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Wilson. He was very proud of his family and the great gatherings at Christmas, birthdays and summer cookouts by the pool.  He was a true friend and someone you could always depend on in any situation.

If you were to ask him, Jim would say his greatest accomplishments were his two beautiful daughters, Heather and Jayme.  He always said he couldn’t believe how blessed he was with such a wonderful family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Gail, daughters, Heather (Jason) Brown of Apex; Jayme (David) Daniels, stepson, Grant (Meghan) Roberson, all of Wilson, grandchildren, Wesley and Peyton Brown, Harper, James and William Daniels, and Taylor, Zachary, MacKenzie, Hayden and David Roberson.
