A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 11, 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church followed by visitation.
Mr. Ivey retired from Hackney Body Works, enjoyed playing music, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Tedder Ivey; sons, Mark Fulghum (Fredda) of Wilson and Billy Fulghum (Nina) and David Fulghum (Sandra) of Sims; grandchildren, Daniel Fulghum, Chelsea Griffin, Nicholas Fulghum, and Heather Scott (Allen); 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Stancil of Farmville, Rose Ricks of Battleboro, and Jackie Holliday (Ray) of Farmville; brothers, Tommy Ivey (Connie) of Rocky Mount, Bobby Ivey of Castalia, and Joe Blake (Judy) of Roanoke Rapids.
Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his parents John and Lois Dean Ivey; sisters, Lois Moore and Ellen Fox and a brother, David Blake.
Memorials are suggested to Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5260 Old Raleigh Rd., Wilson, NC 27893.
