LUCAMA - Jimmy Taylor, 84, died Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Funeral, Sunday, 5:00 PM, Trinity Church of God of Prophecy, Kenly, with a time of visiting and sharing to follow. Burial, Monday, 2:00 PM, Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
Surviving is his wife, Gale Renfrow Stancil Taylor; daughters, Brigitte Taylor and Teresa Taylor of Wilmington; step-sons, David Anthony Stancil (Tabatha) and Terry Todd Stancil, all of Selma; step-grandchildren, Josh, Tristan, Evander Zac, Skylar; sister, Margie Turner of Lucama.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Luther and Callie Smith Taylor; sisters, Nona Boswell, Shirley Godwin, Janice Barnes and Doris Lucas.
Following retirement from Yellow Freight Lines, he worked part-time for NSACAR at Daytona Speedway. He was a long-standing member of Woodmen of the World.
