Wilson - Jo Anne Varnell Gardner, 68, died Sunday March 14, 2010 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Funeral, Thursday, March 25, 6:00 PM, Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Rd, followed by a brief visitation. Surviving is her husband, James E. Gardner; daughter, Ginger Murphy (Carl) of Stantonsburg; sons, Jeffrey Gardner (Beverly) of Greenville and Alan Gardner (Stephanie) of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, David and Erica Gardner of Little Rock, John Hall of Raleigh, Richie and Aaron Gardner of Greenville, Andy Holbrook of Wilson and Bradley Holbrook of Stantonsburg; sister, Peggy Joyner of Spring Hope; brothers, Floyd Varnell (Cleo) of Wilson and Ed Varnell (Mary) of Flemingsburg, KY. Memorials are suggested to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 951 Pope Farm Rd, Stantonsburg, NC 27883.
