WILSON - Joan Walston Ayers, 69, of Wilson, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Funeral, Tuesday, 2 PM, Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville.
Surviving is her husband, John Mills Ayers; daughter, Stacey Hines of Wilson; son, Greg Thibault of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Taylor Hines, Tiffany and Shawn Thibault; great-grandchild, Zachary William; sisters, Faye Price and Phyllis Sides of Farmville, Susan Bateman of Hampton, VA; brother, Charlie Walston of Hampton, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Lenora Ennis Walston of Pitt County; sister, Sylvia Phenna.
Memorials are suggested to the UNC Cancer Center, 450 West Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-5087.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 6:30 - 8 PM.
