Joanne Watson

Joanne Barnes Watson, 75, of the Buckhorn Community, Kenly, died Thursday, October 22, 2026 at home.

The visitation will be on Saturday, 12:00-1:00 PM in the Family Life Center at Milbournie Free Will Baptist Church. The funeral will be in the sanctuary at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband Rick Watson; daughter, Dana Batchelor (Brian) of Kenly; grandchildren, Sydney Daniels (Ben), Harrison, and Joseph Batchelor; sister-in-law, Sandra Watson of Kenly.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Theolphius and Lillian Adams Barnes and her brother, Dick Barnes.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Milbournie Free Will Baptist Church, 5854 Countryside Rd, Wilson, NC 27896.
