WILSON - John C. Avera, 81, of the Daniels Chapel community, died Sunday, November 8, 2015.
Funeral, Tuesday 7 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Entombment, Wednesday, 10 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Grantham Avera; daughter, Gail Hooks (Randy) of Black Creek; grandson, Michael Hooks (Karrie) of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Jack and Ava; sisters, Mildred Bunn of Smithfield, Doris Brown of Micro, Peggy Weaver (R.H.) of Selma and Linda Williams (Thomas) of Sharpsburg.
Memorials are suggested to Daniels Chapel Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Rd, Wilson, NC 27893-7873 or to a charity of one's choice.
