John Barron

John A. Barron, 73, of Elm City, died Thursday, August 18, 2016.
Funeral, Sunday, 5 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Monday, 10 AM, Maplewood Cemetery.
John served in the Army 82nd Airborne Division in the early days of the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Benton Barron; and brothers, C.F. Barron and Marvin Branch.
John is survived by son, Todd Barron of Elm City; daughter-in-law, Candace Barron of Wilson; grandson, Allen Barron of Wilson; granddaughter, Lauren Barron of Wilson; sister, Ann Pittman of Wilson; brothers, Tommy Barron of Co, Floyd "Tinker" Barron of TX, several nieces and nephews and great nieces.
