WILSON - John Frederick Fluegel, 79, died Thursday, January 28, 2016.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 PM in Maplewood Cemetery by Elders D.B. Stokes and Jimmy Aycock. Visitation will follow the funeral.
John was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Creech's Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Stott Fluegel; daughter, Joy Edwards (Mark) with whom he lived; son, Ray Fluegel (Rhonda) of Wilson; granddaughter, Jessica Fluegel and step-grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Chelsea and Mark Edwards, II.
