September 8, 1935 — July 24, 2020
John Thomas Worrell, Sr., 84, of Wilson, died Friday, July 24, 2020.
Funeral, Monday, 10:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 3-5 PM at Wilson Memorial Service.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davis Worrell; daughter, Susan Weekley (Brandon) of Wilson; son, John T. Worrell, Jr. (Kari) of Winterville; brother, Ralph Worrell (Ruth) of Elm City; grandchildren, Kersti Worrell (Brogan Langdale), Colton Worrell, John-Thomas Worrell, Hutch Worrell, Kylie Carnahan, Spencer Carnahan, Gavin Weekley and Trinity Weekley; great-grandchildren, Emerson Langdale and Finley Langdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynwood and Ella Bissette Worrell; sisters, Myrtle Carter and Mary Ella Etheridge; brothers, Vernon Worrell, Lynwood Worrell and Joe Worrell; and beloved dog, Wrangler.
