June Barkley

June Meads Barkley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, avid reader and friend passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on May 8, 1947, in Wilson, NC, June led a life defined by love, dedication, and compassion.

June is survived by her loving husband, Dale Barkley, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years. Their bond is a testament to enduring love and companionship. In addition, June is survived by her son Michael Barkley (Anne) of Aledo, TX; granddaughter Madison Williams (Chris) of Fremont; grandson Elliot Barkley of Wilson, grandsons Jeff and John Hutchins of Aledo, TX and great-grandson Ryver Williams.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Barkley; parents, Curtis and Belle Turnage Meads; brother, Curtis Ray Meads.

June brought joy, wisdom and laughter to everyone she touched. The legacy of June Barkley will continue to live on through the stories shared by those who loved her deeply.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 4th, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation.

As family and friends gather to celebrate her life, they will remember a woman whose quiet strength, heartfelt kindness and profound impact on everyone who had the privilege to know her.
