J.W. Lewis

J. W. Lewis, 74, of Middlesex, died Sunday, September 17, 2023.    

Funeral, Wednesday, 4:00, at Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.

Surviving is his daughter, Amy Strickland, of Bailey; sons, Van Lewis (Brooks) of Middlesex, Andy Lewis (Heather) of Middlesex and Shane Lewis of Bailey; grandchildren, Nicohl Kinnin (Dale) and Staleigh, Christian, Emma, Joshua “Juju” Lewis; sister, Kate Manning of Middlesex; brother, Benny Lewis (Katie) of Zebulon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Griffin Lewis in October 2018; his parents, Armie and Ina Brantley Lewis of Wilson County.

He was drafted into the Army for 1968-1970 and was proud to have worked for Clancy & Theys Construction Company in Raleigh.
