Larene Bass Radford, 97, of Wilson, died Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Funeral, Monday, 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation. Interment, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Radford was retired from Wilson Medical Center after 27 years as an Operating Room Technician II. She was a life member of Moose and life member of VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
Mrs. Radford is survived by her daughter Lottie Radford Distler of Black Creek; son, Doug Radford (Terry) of Zebulon; grandsons, Guy Thomas Barnes (Sheila) of Wilson and Travis Wayne Radford (Lindsey) of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, David Ray Barnes of Wilson and Tammi Gammage of Texas; great-great-grandson, Wyatt of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Radford; parents, Martha Baker and Theodore Roosevelt Bass; son, Dennis Radford; sisters, Beatrice Barnhill, Peggy Lamm, Pat B. James, and special sister Allene Cunningham; brothers, Nathan, Theodore, and Rand Bass.
