Lavonne Deaver

Lavonne Turner Deaver, 86, of Suffolk, VA, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

The funeral will be Wednesday, July 9, 11:00 AM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.

Mrs. Deaver was a 1957 graduate of Charles L. Coon High School and Thomas Nelson Community College. She retired from Bay Port Credit Union (Shipyard Credit Union) and was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church in Suffolk.

She is survived by her sister Jo Hinton; nieces, Pat West, Linda Pittman, Cammie Sanders, Lynn Israel (Fred), and Luann Skinner (Danny); nephew, Tim Evans (Debbie); step-sons, Tim Deaver and Greg Deaver (Maggie); and step-grandson, Gregory Deaver; several great nieces and a nephew, great-great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-great-niece and nephew and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Deaver was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie C. Deaver; parents, William McKinley and Clyde Watson Turner; siblings, Elwood Turner (Lissie), Eldridge Turner (Thelma), and Jean Evans (Harvey); nephew, Danny Hinton.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Nansemond River Baptist Church, 2896 Bridge Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435.
