ELM CITY - Lillian Summerlin Garner, 98, died Thursday, January 18, 2007. She was the widow of Needham B. Garner, Sr., and a native of Wayne County. After graduation from ECTC (now ECU) , she began teaching at Town Creek and retired from Elm City in the mid-seventies. Funeral, Sunday 2:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr. Visiting will be one hour prior to the funeral. Interment, Cedar Grove Cemetery. Surviving: son, N. Bryan Garner, Jr., of the home. Memorials are suggested to Community Home Care &: Hospice, 1604 Forest Hills Road, W, Wilson NC 27893. , she began teaching at Town Creek and retired from Elm City in the mid-seventies.
